Design of experiments

DOEresponsespace

Design of experiment is a statistical based technique used extensively in bioprocess development.

  • Screen large number of process parameters and identify critical parameters
  • Identify interactions between parameters
  • Process characterisation studies
  • Establish a process design space to understand the effects of critical process parameters on critical quality attributes.

Dr O’Kennedy has over 15 years of experience using DOE for bioprocess development, equipment design and characterisation and can offer a number of services to clients

Training and development:

Training has been specifically tailored to bioprocess scientists supported by  case studies and examples relevant to the biophamaceutical sector. An example files for DOE and MVA can found on the Downloads page.

Experimental design consultancy:

We can help you to evaluate whether your experimental system and analytical support is ready for DOE. We can also provide experimental designs, support experimental execution and carry out DOE data analysis. We can provide support to clients to carry out DOE data analysis and report writing.

Data collection and collation tools:

ROK Bioconsulting has developed data collection tools and templates for bioreactor systems that improve data collection and integrity.

Growth media and feed selection and optimization:

Generic media and feed optimization studies can be designed specifically suited to your bioreactor automation platform.

We have developed unique multivariate based technique that can screen and select the best  biological additives for your  mammalian cell culture and microbial based process. A database of over 200 commercially available biological additives has be created to support this technique and other applications. More information on what this database can do for your process has been published in the March 2016 edition of Bioprocess international.
